Mehdi Taremi Transfer News

Sources suggest reigning Serie A champions Inter consider sending Mehdi Taremi away during the upcoming summer period.

The owner group of Oaktree Capital has indicated their willingness to sell Mehdi Taremi this summer despite bringing him to Inter from Porto as a free agent one year ago.

The Iran international forward spent more than twelve months as a high-profile target before joining Inter but the Nerazzurri success has not reached his projected level of achievement.

Mehdi Taremi Is Having A Poor Season

The current season has brought limited involvement for Taremi. His only goal in the season came from a penalty kick during the 4-0 win over Lecce but Taremi has not scored in his 17 other Serie A matches.

The poor performances of Taremi have caught the attention of Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi and top management who contemplate selling him for strategic forward-line redevelopment.

Oaktree Capital would probably have resisted Taremi’s arrival if they had gained ownership of Inter before the transfer period was completed.

The American investment fund joined the team at the final stages of the 2023-2024 season; therefore, the contract between Inter and Rio Ave’s former star player was already underway when the fund exercised control.

The absence of transfer costs has not shielded Taremi from market value depreciation because of his unimpressive performances making it unlikely Inter will be able to get significant value when selling him.

Other players alongside Taremi are gearing up for departures from Inter according to recent transfer developments. Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa face potential departure from Inter since June because the club shows no intent to keep offering them new contracts.

Inter displays clear intent to maintain Marcus Thuram on their team since the player stands as a major element of their offensive game plan.

The planned transfer of Taremi could be a sign that Inter plans major reorganization for next season to improve their frontline and redistribute their financial resources.

Inter’s management team actively works to improve defence and attack strategies while providing their team with adequate capabilities for Serie A competition along with further advancement.
