Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has made it clear that the club have no intention of selling Michael Olise, amid growing interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea.
The French winger has quickly become one of Bayern’s most influential players since his €60 million move from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024.
Olise’s impact in Germany has been nothing short of sensational. In his debut season, the 23-year-old registered an extraordinary 20 goals and 23 assists in 55 appearances, helping Bayern secure yet another Bundesliga title.
He has carried that blistering form into the new campaign, already contributing five goals and six assists in just ten matches.
Liverpool and Chelsea Monitoring Michael Olise Situation
Such numbers have naturally caught the attention of top clubs across Europe, with Liverpool and Chelsea leading the chase.
Both sides are reportedly eyeing Olise as a marquee addition, with Liverpool viewing him as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have a long-standing admiration for the France international, having triggered his £35 million release clause in 2023 before he chose to stay at Crystal Palace.
The Blues also explored a deal before his Bayern switch but ultimately backed off due to the club’s existing depth in attacking positions.
Reports suggest that any club looking to prise Olise away from Munich would need to table an offer in excess of €100 million. However, sources in Germany believe even such a massive fee might not be enough to tempt Bayern into selling.
Bayern’s Stance on Olise’s Future
Freund has now reinforced Bayern’s position, insisting that the Bundesliga champions are under no financial or sporting pressure to sell their prized asset.
“Michael is a key part of our future,” the Bayern chief reportedly told local media. “He’s happy here, developing well, and we’re not interested in any negotiations.”
Bayern are said to be preparing an improved contract for Olise, despite his current deal running until 2029. The move is seen as a preemptive step to deter persistent suitors and reward the player for his exceptional contributions since arriving in Munich.
A Star Going Nowhere
While the transfer rumours will likely continue into next summer, Bayern’s message could not be clearer: Michael Olise is central to their long-term vision.
Unless an extraordinary offer arrives, the Frenchman looks set to remain in Bavaria — much to the frustration of Liverpool and Chelsea, who must now look elsewhere in their search for attacking reinforcements.
