Bayer Leverkusen’s 28 year old German central defender Jonathan Tah is known to be the priority for FC Barcelona, set out for strengthening the defensive side of the team.

Tah’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen is due to expire when summer transfer window starts and he is a free transfer target till June 2025.

The player has played at the national team level with current Barcelona manager Hansi Flick when he was in charge of the German squad so adjusting to the side should not be difficult. Tah is considered as his experience and leadership qualities could improve Barcelona’s defence line.

Both Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been linked with Tah, but the later seems to have an upper hand in acquiring his signature.

It has been said that Bayern Munich now has little interest in Jonathan Tah and that could be because of financial reasons and other matters. This development has even made it easier for Barcelona to have high chances of signing this youngster Tah.
