Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a move for Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo ahead of the January transfer window.

With Thomas Frank eager to strengthen his squad mid-season, the 19-year-old has emerged as a key target as Spurs look to add depth and creativity to their midfield.

According to The Daily Briefing, Tottenham have been monitoring Mainoo’s situation closely. The young midfielder has played just 30 minutes of competitive football this season, and his limited opportunities at Old Trafford have sparked renewed interest from rival clubs.

Spurs were linked with a loan move for Mainoo in the summer, but United boss Ruben Amorim blocked the transfer, insisting the player should stay and fight for his place.

Tottenham see Mainoo as a long-term investment who fits Frank’s style of high-intensity, possession-based football. His technical control, passing range, and composure under pressure have made him one of England’s most promising young midfielders.
