Manchester United are keen to ensure Marcus Rashford does not move to another Premier League club as the experienced striker tries to force a move out of the club in the January transfer window.

Rashford, who has claimed that he wants to leave, is not in contention for Ruben Amorir’s team and wants a transfer away from Manchester United.

There has been an overwhelming interest in the services of the 27-year-old with English Premier League sides including Tottenham, West Ham and Chelsea all expressing interest in signing the star on a loan deal.

Nevertheless, United’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is said to be not ready to fund a transfer to one of these domestic rivals.

Still, worried about building up a competitor while still contributing to a sizable fraction of Rashford’s £350,000-a-week wages, Ratcliffe has now dug in that he will not partake in intra-Premier League transfers.

However, unlike other players who have received attractive contracts from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer league, Rashford still aims to remain in Europe so he can improve his chances of earning another call-up to play for the Three Lions.

The Italian football team AC Milan has come out as one of the favourites to lure Rashford in the coming months on a short-term deal.

There Has Been Talks Between AC Milan And Marcus Rashford

Open negotiations between the two clubs and Rashford are still being held but no deal has been sealed between Milan and the Manchester United player.

This season, Rashford has not been able to replicate his previous form, during which he scored 7 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions. His last match for United was seventeen days ago on December 12, which has further fueled speculation about his future.

With the forward having spent at least six years in the first team, his exit from the club is somewhat coming as a sign of the end of an era. The Manchester-born forward has 138 goals in 426 appearances for the Red Devils and is the second oldest current squad member after Luke Shaw.

Following the next few days the Red Devils will have to make their decision as to whether they want Rashford to go on and join the Woodward experiment at Old Trafford or not.
